Every product deserves a little care. Regular cleaning and checking its condition will not only extend its lifespan, but above all help ensure safe and pleasant use.
Below you will find a simple overview of how to properly care for pacifiers and bottles.
Pacifiers
Daily cleaning
Pacifiers often come into contact with the mouth, so it is important to keep them clean.
How to do it:
Fill the sink with warm water and add a small amount of mild dish soap. The pacifier does not need to be taken apart. Gently wash it with a soft cloth, then rinse it thoroughly with clean water and allow it to air dry.
For a longer lifespan, we recommend hand washing only.
We do not recommend washing in a dishwasher or regular boiling, as high temperatures may unnecessarily stress the material.
Latex teats
Latex is a natural material and therefore requires a little more attention.
During washing, the teat may temporarily become lighter or take on a slightly milky appearance. This is completely normal. Once fully dry, the colour will return.
Keep latex teats away from direct sunlight, moisture and high temperatures. Heat may cause a slight change in shape or faster wear.
Silicone teats
Silicone is more durable and less sensitive to light and moisture. Even so, we recommend storing the pacifier in a clean case after use, so that it remains hygienic and ready for the next use.
Storage
When you are not using the pacifier, store it in a dry and clean place. A closable case is ideal, as it protects the pacifier from dust and moisture.
Checking and replacement
Teats gradually wear out during normal use. It is a good idea to check them regularly.
Pay particular attention to:
- cracks
- tears
- changes in shape
- stickiness
- significant thinning of the material
For a quick check, gently pull on the round part of the teat. If you are not sure about its condition, we recommend replacing it.
Bottles
Regardless of what the bottle contains, it should be washed thoroughly after every use.
Cleanliness is the key to comfortable use.
Plastic bottles
Take the bottle apart into its individual parts. Wash it in warm water with mild dish soap. Carefully clean the teat, both the upper and lower part, as well as the cap. Clean the inside of the bottle thoroughly and then rinse everything with clean water.
We do not recommend washing plastic bottles in a dishwasher. High temperature and strong cleaning agents may damage the material as well as any print.
Glass bottles
The washing procedure is the same as for plastic bottles.
Glass bottles can also be washed in a dishwasher, but we recommend caution with bottles that have printing or decoration. Washing clear bottles without graphics is the safest option.
Drying
Allow all parts to air dry on a clean rack. It is ideal to let teats dry naturally. If you are in a hurry, you may use a clean cloth, but natural drying is gentler.
Sterilisation
Before first use, we recommend washing pacifiers and bottles with warm water and mild dish soap.
For sterilisation, they can be immersed in boiling water for 2–5 minutes. A slight colour change may occur, which is completely harmless.
Do not use a dishwasher or electric sterilisers, and do not expose teats to direct sunlight for extended periods.
After cleaning, store teats in a clean, closable container.
